I would not recommend Vonage for business service to anyone I know. When I needed their customer service to fix a problem, they miserably failed.
I suffered for multiple weeks of no service on my business line through Vonage.
I talked with their customer service 4 times, ended up buying one new modem, then receiving a 2nd new modem, neither of which worked. At no time did my phone service get fixed. After multiple weeks, I got so frustrated that I decided to change service.
My new service provider told me specifically not to cancel my service, that they would take care of it. But they didn't, and Vonage kept charging me my monthly fee in advance until I noticed it on my bill.
When I called and had to cancel my service myself, they refused to refund my monthly fee for the upcoming month, a month in which I have no service through Vonage because the new phone has been through another provider for 4 weeks already.
When I asked for a refund, the agent kept trying to name who to blame for the problem. I don't care who is to blame. I care that they are charging me for service that they cannot provide.
Would you pay someone to mow your lawn even though they don't provide that service anymore?
Vonage makes it easy to acquire their service. But if you have any problems, they clearly are not in the business of servicing their customers, even if you are a long-term customer (9 years) like I was.
User's recommendation: Don't use.
