I called Vonage Business Service concerning my voicemail that had never recorded messages from callers. The technician disconnected my phones. I called back and the next technician had to access my computer to address the no service issue. I have been told I will receive a call back each time, but I have had to call Vonage each day. Now, nine days later, neither my computers nor phones work and Vonage refuses to send replacement phones. I have spoken to 6 different service technicians and all have taken me through the same procedures with no results. I regret ever dealing with Vonage. Please do not make the same mistake.

Vonage in Atlanta, Georgia - Horrible and Deceitful Customer Service

Our office closed and I was hired by our buyer to work from home. I decided to go with Vonage because the salesperson had been hounding me for 2 years and seemed nice. I signed all documents to port numbers. I was given a port date. When I called to confirm I spoke with 3 different people who said it was set and I was given 3 different times a day, I activated so I was ready. Finally I called at end of business day and was told it had been ejected by AT&T days prior. I was given the run around and they asked me to wait until next day. Without my permission salesperson assigned a random number. They charge my card overnight for activating which I had done based on bad information and because guy put number on my account. I'm a single mom and this put me in the negative. They will not credit my bank nor will they take back the phone. The only good thing is I learned Spectrum bundle for business is going to cost me way less. Never ever use this business. Horrible customer service. 6 hours on the phone. I lost it twice because I was upset and they kept blaming me and AT&T. Nope. AT&T said all was well.

Please see below. I am getting harassments from Vonage for the last 6 months. They they have raised my rates to $49.99 without my authorizations. See at the end of the email. They will say if you don't like what they are doing, you can cancel their service. Please visit their website. The link is below. It says, "Unlimited talk to more than 60 countries for one low price, with a plan that lets you make and receive calls on your home phone and two smartphones using our app."http://www.vonage.com/personal/phone-plans? What do you call for this? Fraud! ------------------------------------------------Dear Customer, I understand your concerns regarding a recent plan change and have provided some further details regarding our usage policies below. In regards to the Vonage World Plan, there are no limitations on minutes. The amount of minutes used is one of, but not the only, indicators that we use to assess whether usage is outside of normal residential use. The Vonage World Plan is a residential calling plan, and we disclose before sign-up that the plan is subject to normal residential use. Normal residential use guidelines are based on the usage levels and patterns of Vonage World customers. Our usage guidelines may be viewed in our Terms of Service (sections 5 and 10) at www.vonage.com/tos/#SERVICE and our Reasonable Use Policy at http://www.vonage.com/reasonable_use_policy. Specific details are communicated directly to customers whose usage falls outside these guidelines to help them adjust their usage to be consistent with normal residential use. We only identify usage as irregular when a combination of characteristics is present. These characteristics include international minutes, international Call-Forwarding minutes, international call durations, or the amount of unique international phone numbers dialed. Customers are not contacted unless their calling patterns have surpassed that of 90% of our users. For example, almost all of our Vonage World customers use less than 1,500 international minutes each month compared to your use of over 4,000. Additionally, Vonage World customers call fewer than 13 unique international telephone numbers each month compared to your 53 unique international telephone numbers. For customers using Vonage Extensionsb ", all usage is combined in the assessment of your account. As stated in our Reasonable Use Policy, "We may assess abnormal usage based on comparisons to the usage patterns and levels of our other customers on the same plan(s). If we determine that you are engaging in abnormal or impermissible usage, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to inform you and may provide you with the opportunity to correct the improper usage. If we afford you the opportunity to correct your abnormal usage patterns and you fail to immediately conform to normal use, we may exercise our right to transfer your service to a more appropriate plan, charge applicable rates for that plan implement other limitations or suspend or terminate your service with or without notice." You were sent 5 prior email and 5 prior voicemail notifications informing you about the usage issue on your account. These notification were sent on 7/8, 10/5, 10/7, 10/28 and 11/2. As we did not see a change in your calling patterns, your plan was upgraded to the Power User plan on 11/9. We must see your usage be within our normal use guidelines for two consecutive billing cycles before you may be considered to be switched back to the Vonage World plan. If these guidelines do not suit your needs, you may disconnect your service without penalty by contacting our account management department at 1-866-243-4357. I can't believe that someone would abuse a service to this extent! Does he know people in every country or just call people at random and for over 4,000 minutes a month?!!

I went to this site to get an idea of the company as we are thinking of joining but this is ridiculous. Get a life or get a job.

Vonage deducted money after cancellation

Vonage customer rep gave me a 1/2 off offer that would have charged me $18 for their world plan. I went ahead and agreed to continue my service. Later they deducted the full amount from my account. I objected to this to which they said I would have to use their service in any case as they would not refund my money. After fighting with them on numerous occasion they refunded my money but then someone went berserk and again debited my account for $20. I filed a disput with my card company and got the refund. F*$k!ng company. I was their customer for 4+ years. I am never going to have Vonage again. Hear it loud and clear - Alan Masarek.

My name was initially misspelled.There have been numerous e-mails.This morning I received oneregarding the online tranfer of my number. Out of 75 days with Vonage my phone worked 2 !!

I switched to Vonage from AT&T because my rate with AT&T was too high, after having Vonage for almost 3 months my phone has worked correctly for 3 days. I was told by Vonage in order to have the problem fixed I would have to pay them $99.00 for a service guy to come out and fix the problem. I would advise anyone to never get tied up with Vonage unless you want to spend your days pluging and unpluging thier modem to no avail and never get phone calls anymore if you want to talk I am!! luvzforplay@yahoo.com

I have reported them to FCC, BBB, and consumer protection agency , so far I havn't heard anything from anyone !!! I guess they take what they can get and beat feet !!

Report them to the BBB in your area, they need to be exposed. I've heard complaints about Vonage for years.

Yesterday I rec'd an offer in the mail that frankly it sounded too good to be true, so I decided to check with this board and sure enough I was correct. I had AT&T for decades, when they were a monopoly, so we had to take their abuse. I was a $500 monthly customer, I don't have a business, they were calls to friends around the world and AT&T's calling charges were outrageous then, and they are outrageous now.

Not once they sent me a discount, or anything as a customer appreciation or something. For years I've used my little Tracfone which has served me well.
