This also happen to me. they missed use credit card to collect money not owned them then refuse to disconte service so they can contune service

Vonage in Irvine, California - Vontage - Lied,false information. No return label in 7 months

Vontage- Please do not make the mistake of thinking that this is a good company. The customer service is mainly in India. The many people I talked with told me I did not need to have internet. What liars. I called corporate over and over. Finally a lady picked up and promised, she would send a label. So I could receive a refund of my money. It is the end of April. Vontage also told me that they would call my current telephone company at the time. they asked me to call and tell them that I will keep numeber. (Mistake) Now Time Warner has me in collections. They claim that I owe for the month. ( Time warner was prepaid for one month) I'm tired, no refund! I contacted the Utilities Commsion. Guess what, they can not help. Please do not even think about Vontage. You will be sorry. What a horrible experience this has been.

I have had vonage for years and have not had one problem with them or their service. Perhaps you should have done some research before ordering.

The web site clearly showes you have to have a high speed internet connection before vonage can work. Maybe taking a couple of reading class might help you out a bit.

I switched my phone services from vonage to callvantage (at&t). As normal, it takes about 2 weeks for the complete transfer. Vonage gave AT&T permission to start a new account with me and they turned around billed me for many months after the transfer date. They went further by reporting my name to the credit bureau agencies and destroyed my credit. I have proof of all the illegal bills and proof when they agreed to stop my account and transfer it to AT&T. I need help on how to get Vonage held accoutable for its wongdoing? Jean-Claude

Vonage what a maze just try to cancel

took out a vonage phone line in 2007 had it about 6 months before i realizd i was throwing money away the service itsself wasnt bad when it didnt mess my cable internet up but the problem came when i decided to cancel called cs in november for the second time first time i gave up on hold for an hour, but needed to stick it out this time. after being transferred around to just about everybody in the company including the janitor finally got to the right place, she gave me the hard sale soft sell and everysell inbetween, finally said hek with it fine give me the 3 months for free and ill call back to cancel then. after three months called to atempt to cancel again -- again the 2 hours being transferred to the vonage rep in siberia, finally got the extension to cancel, the gentleman for lack of a better term went AOL on me. basicly told me "your ***" actually asked me if he could talk to my wife, and was soo aggrivated with me i think if he could have reached through the phone he would have slugged me, and trust me if i could have----- anyhow finally was able to cancel -- honestly didnt mind the service but WOW hey vonage i would have gone back to ya if i needed phone service again -- NOW NO WAY

VONAGE: DON'T SIGN UP

I signed up for Vonage in October 2007. I moved in December 2007 and called Vonage customer service and told them to cancel my service. Well, two in March I get a bill saying I owe them $135 dollars. For what I said, I cancelled the service a long time ago. They said in December I did not cancel but agreed for two months of free service. After the 2 months were over with they keep billing me the monthly fee although I was not using the service and told them to cancel in December. Why do I need two months of free service and I moved, told them to cancel, and I have a cell phone. They told me I still will not be able to cancel until I pay the $135 on the account. Furthermore they said after I cancel I will have to pay $125 dollars because I exceed the 60 days window for cancelling without occuring a fee. Well, if the retarded lady had cancel when I told her, instead of trying to keep me on as a customer and keep the money rolling then, I would not be in this mess. I will never, never, ever get Vonage again. They are corrupt and do not exercise fair business practice to their customers.

Vonage wont stop charging my credit card

Vonage never sent us their equipment, but have steadily charged my credit card since Dec of 2007. After 5 phone calls, they are still steadily charging my credit card at the tune of 31.02 per month. Every time I call, they can not find any account in my name, however, I'm 124.08 poorer. Whenever I see their commercials, I want to puke. They lie in their commercials! Today I was on the phone with 5 different people for over 25 minutes and nothing was resolved since I do not have a phone number or account number. DO NOT GET VONAGE!!

Got some weird credits on my account equaling 309.79. Then a series of other charges (debits) equaling the same amount.

Never lost any money. NEVER HAD THIS VONAGE SERVICE EVER!!

Called the # on my bank statement and the first thing they wanted was my CC# that was charged! Hellllllll no!

So then he said, well I can't look up anything without that so call your bank and ask them and then call us back if you need to. I ended up canceling the debit card to be safe.
