Never go with Vonage, they are cheaters.

I signed up for vonage online in Dec 2012 and was promised a 100 dollar restaurant.com gift card within 60 days. I have been following since that day and these *** guys are giving me false deadline on each call , they never transfer my call to the concerned people. I am really pissed of and agonized. They have3 literally conned on the custumer for binding him into a contract. I will never suggest vonage to any person in this world . As the above was a contract , I have to painfully carry on with them now for some more time. They are complete cheaters.

I have been with Vonage since 2010, I am on a month to month----I know of several others who use Vonage but we all have month to month---I am not sure they actually have any other plan---you may have signed up thru a 3rd party tho

Vonage Bad Experience

This Vonage company is complete fraud, doing wrong commitment /agreements with acquitted customers. Their customer support is pathetic and unreliable. I called Vonage customer care many times and every time I got different response/assurance from customer executive:- I enrolled myself with Unlimited World Plan ($25 approx. per month) Reason for Calling – Due to some emergency I had to make more call and it got crossed the 3000 minutes, as per Vonage the limit is 3000 minutes (which I came to know when they switched my current to New plan). New Plan Cost: $68 approx. per month. (even if I got a couple of email/notification from Vonage which I basically ignored supposing it’s promotional emails/ ad). I thought to cancel this plan (for which I had to pay $120 as penalty as I am in 1 year contract with Vonage). 1. Month-1 (Vonage Executive):- He advised me to continue with same plan for one month and assured me to convert into earlier plan after one month (he asked me to send email to Usage Management). 2. Month-2 (Vonage Executive): I called them to follow-up (& email to Usage Management) on switching back to earlier plan, new executive said – you have to follow 2 billing cycles in new plan before they move me back. I was shocked and angry with Vonage commitment and support but ended up with same plan instead of disconnect and pay the penalty amount. I have received email from Usage Management stating – 2 billing cycle and executive assured me that next month onward I have to pay according to earlier plan (or better plan available in market at that particular time). 3. Month-3(Vonage Executive): I called them again today asking same (switch back to earlier plan), New executive asking me to wait for another month. This is simply fraud. Since I am in contract with them, they are taking benefit of it. I am left with no option but writing my concern here on this forum: - a. Executive said, your last month usage is also more than 3000 minutes, when I asked to validate online since it’s very well less than that. He said there is some glitch in there system records. b. I asked him to escalate this issue and provide me ticket number – he refused to provide any such number then said, someone will call you. He also didn't provide any senior official contact number. c. I asked him to pullout the last month conversation to authenticate the stuff – he said it goes to different department and will take longer time. Please help. Thanks Vonage Customer 201-920-5388

Vonage in Lake Zurich, Illinois - Plan Change and forced to pay or cancel

Hello Everyone , I registered for a vonage unlimited plan and i was moved suddenly to some power plan because of usage . I am unable to understand why do they even call it unlimited . When i call the customer service , i was told that they cannot change the plan as it will be monitored for 2 months and they cannot even give some credit for it . So i was left with only 2 options , either to shell out 40$ extra each month for minimum 2 months or cancel the account . Now when i choose to cancel my account i have already been charged for new cycle like just 2 days back and they do not Pro rata basis so i am forced to Pay 69.99 even though i am left with only option of Cancelling . VONAGE is a total rip off and do not understand the meaning of Customer service . I am totally dissapointed with the way me (Customer) was treated . Never will take Vonage nor recommend it .

Vonage offensive advertising

I am not a Vonage customer and never will be because of the offensive TV advertisement now being aired. It shows a homeless, mentally ill man in a demeaning manner. In trying to be humorous, the ad uses a serious illness as a joke. Mental illness is not funny; it is a tragedy for all involved, patient, family and caregivers. Vonage owes a public apology and the immediate removal of this ad. Having been a case worker for folks with a serious mental illness for over 20 years I have seen the heartbreak up close. I have also seen courage and kindness in the face of adversity. Please stop this ad.

I agree with vonage using the mentally ill. They are using a poster child for OWS as a spokesperson.

The only one responsible for the commercial is the *** that thought it was "crazy good". BOYCOTT VONAGE.

This was done 2 days ago with my AT&T DSL standlalone transfer which I will giveagan.CO3P2TQ6.I was told the transfer will take 7-10 days.Ilive with someone elderly and I personally do not have unlmited time on my cell phone. Vonage in Tomball, Texas - Refuse to stop billing me

I signed up for Vonage in January of 2013. The service was interfering with my internet and cable so I cancelled the service in February of 2013. I really didn’t even have the service for a month before I cancelled it. Here is it five months I check my account and Vonage bills me five months back billing. They refuse to refund me money, saying that I did not call and cancel. I am so pisst. Because I had not cancelled the service I would not be this angry. Why the wait five months later. Then they tell me that I have an early cancellation fee that I have to. This is a joke!!! I have to go through my back to get my money back and dispute those charges. I advise every one not get this service it’s a joke and rip off.

Vonage in Williamsburg, Virginia - Vonnage scam

Last November I ordered Vonnage for $9.95 month, the bills for the first three months were double that, then doubled again for the next three months, if that were not bad enough, the service never worked, it was never activated for one second. I became ill and did not have the strength to deal with this until today. After speaking with three Vonnage customers service reps and explaining the situation, they sent me up the food chain to the manager of customer service. In all cases they insisted that they had the right to charge me $99.00 for a cancellation fee even after charging me $150.00 for not one minute of service. The customer service people are rude unresponsive and act like robots. Anyone that does business with this company should be prepared to have their invoices double the quoted rate. I am 70 years old and ill. No amount of explaining my situation or the fact they already had made a tidy profit on my situation failed to move them. They charged me the $99.00 cancellation fee! Vonage - Mute calls at odd hours daily

Vonage is calling at odd hours all days. When picks up nobody talking and they call again. Sounds like a prank call. Really irritating. Also getting so many unwanted calls from third parties. Think they sold our numbers for scam people and *** people. If they keep calling I won't have any other choice other than canceling their service. They really sucks. The number I am receiving the call is 201-298-6979. I am not paying them for getting tortured and all my work is getting interrupted. I really want them to have good marketing people in their team. Or they will lose all their customers.
