Vonage won't honor contract

Well the reviews are right!!! Vonage sucks AND they will not stand by their contract. They took $97 from my account even though I have a contract in hand that exempts me from this fee. Vonage said that they can't honor their contract . WTF? I am disputing this charge. AND every day I will post on consumer sites this situation. So , Vonage don't do a money grab. Keep out of my bank account. I was solicited by a Vonage salesperson at Walmart. Having read the reviews regarding Vonage's money hungry ways of getting into your bank account I specifically asked if there was an early termination fee. The Vonage sales person called her office.. After a bit a contract with the exemption was created. I NEVER agreed to an eatly termination fee. So, why did I dump Vonage? Vonage failed to live up to their end of the deal. Bad, bad, bad phone service. Many service interruptions. Poor sound quality. I have Google Fiber! So the techs saying it was my slow internet were , what?, lying?

Vonage - Poor service, the worst customer service

Signed up for service. Tried for a month. The quality was awful. Very poor to say the least. Called to cancel and customer service would not refund for equipment. They told me I owned and would not refund anything. The equipment is very expensive, not worth it. After researching, I found apps that do the same for free and are free. What really made me mad was the attitude of customer service telling me "too bad" you owned it. The cost is a complete rip off. Do yourself a favor and avoid Vonage. Research and you will see you can get better for much less.

I signed up 23 days ago with Vonage for the $9.99 special. I told them I had High Speed Internet with Net Zero. They did not tell me it wasn't compatible but went ahead and set up the order. Ten days later when my phone # was transferred to Vonage, I had no landline phone or internet service. When I called them back, then they told me that Net Zero wasn't compatible. I called AT&T and asked to be reinstated and that was another 10 days without landline or internet. I was told they allow 30 days trial to cancel so fortunately I made it in that time frame and got confirmation that they were billing me for one month at $13.47 but in truth they provided nothing. Trying to get through to them to complaint is difficult but will call sales and ask for customer service senior staff.

I was given fraudulent information so it seemed like a great deal to get Vonage. When I saw the account online and the plan description it was 100% wrong to what I was told initially. I called to cancel the service amd rhe second rep that helpedw also insited on me staying with the service for 9.99 a month which witj taxes I pay 18 dlls a month. She said that price was locked for the lifetime of service amd a month to month basis I could cancel when ever I wanted. So yesterday I called to cancel and they tell me I have a contract and will be charge a termination fee. I never signed or verbally agreed on a contract. I told the rep he was not authorized to charge anything to my card. Specailly a for a supposedly contract that doesn't exist. They charged me anyway, I told them I want to hear the recording where I agree to a 1yr contract. I am waiting foe that, meanwhile I will dispute the charges and have my bank deal with them. This is a fraudulent, misleading, lying company. Do not ever get vonage sevices. They scam, to charge fees that are not legally binding. I will make sure I get money back that they are trying to scam from me.

I WAS OFFERED VONAGE FOR $9.99 per month, the person who was selling vonage almost begging that please buy vonage. Later I decided to cancel the service, and I was told that you can please keep the service for $9.99 for ever, and if there will be any issue we will take care for it for you. All of a sudden VONAGE STARTED OVERCHARGING MY ACCOUNT almost about $39 a month, I complained and asked them to let me talk to same person, and listen to the recorded conversation. Leaving aside sorting out the matter, VONAGE SENT AN EMAIL, STATING that there will be a termination fee, WHEN I ASKED WHY, they did not have any reason, THEN I ASKED WHY DO NOT YOU REFUND MY MONEY, I DO NOT NEED YOUR SERVICE, I DO NOT GET ANY RESPONSE AS YET. THE QUALITY IS NOT WORTH OF THIS MUCH MONEY, THERE IS FREQUENT CALL DROPAGE AND FREQUENT ISSUE WITH CALL QUALITY>
