Vonage - Billing / Promotion which is a Bait & Switch actually

Using Vonage since 2005 and am required every so often to call in and practically beg for a rebate ! Besides it being so ridiculous, the Customer Service Reps are difficult to understand, sound very disjointed due to the time difference - night in India and/or Phillipines ! They want to get off the line soonest possible. I am being charged for Worldwide Plan at $21.99 plus fees & taxes which total to half the cost of the Plan ! Now they have offered me a measly $2 discount for a year but when the promotion period is over the Plan price increases to $27.99 !!! Do you see the gimmick here ?!! $2* 12 = $24 and $6 x12 = $72 !! They have to be kiddin us to accept something like this especially in today's market where Vonage does not have monopoly as the only VoIP provider. Time to cancel !! Be careful and think before you fall for their so called "promotions" !!

Just canceled my Vonage account having suffered through a week of no phone service (desp[ite following all the online suggestions from Vonage as to how to reboot my service). So I finally had an evening when I could sit on hold, and then speak to a tech support person. Unfortunately, I landed with an argumentative tech support person who thought they knew more about the wiring of my phone connection, than I did (as I was describing exactly what I was seeing). When I asked the tech support person to please stop talking over me, so I could finish my sentence (no profanity at this point), he elected to hang up. My Vonage service has gone out regularly since I signed up 10 months ago. Tired of paying for a service that I could not rely on, I have cancelled. If you are thinking of signing up for Vonage, the $9.95 that you'll pay per month is not worth the aggravation.

A waiver of the $36.43 "disconnect fee". The phone outage was/is no my fault, and the lousy tech support service, in which the tech support person hung up on me when I asked them to "Please" let me finish, was not of my doing.

Vonage in Collegeville, Pennsylvania - Fraudulent company Read this !

I paid $18 for equipment thinking I might try Vonage. I Received equipment and never activated it. Assuming that since I didn't activate there would be not charge. Wrong. I was never given a Vonage account so never got any notification that Vonage was charging me for a monthly service I never got. Also increased the "minimum " payment every few months. Called to complain that this happened and they said. ..Sorry but we can only give you two months back refund and that "I should file a complaint with my credit card company" When I did that the credit card company told me that once I accepted that two months from vonage I had "settled" with Vonage and therefore the credit card company could not win a dispute. It is obvious now that Vonage plays a lot of games. Don't sign up for this fraudulent company

By reading your complaint, I believe you are not a responsible person. You always blame other companies to take your responsibility.

But don't have guts to take your own responsibility.

I have solution for your scenario ... The day you start taking your responsibility fraud won't occur.

Vonage Customer Service

Vonage has the WORST customer service. Some of the reps are very hard to understand and you are constantly saying "WHAT?" "WHAT DID YOU SAY?". They are courteous, but don't know how to fix problems. They still have not fixed the problems which seemed to be caused by their service where they turn phone messages to emails. Today I spent practically all day waiting for them to correct this problem. They promise to call you back and then DON'T. BYE, BYE Vonage!!!! Hire representatives who have a better comand of the English language and who are better trained technicians!! They did not tell first of all how much are they charging me, then they deactivated my account and kept charging me 39$ a month. when i called to ask what is going on, customer service people were rude and ***. disgusting service! i would never suggest anyone to use it. Vonage in Whitehall, Michigan - 50% tax and fees

My base bill is 14.99 then they charge me 15 dollars tax and fees there should be laws against this! I have called and customer service if you can understand them sucks and they just say well thats what we have to charge per state. I dont buy it! I think its bs. Vonage in San Bernardino, California - I have been charged with a service that I have not activated, or used.

My bank account has been constantly charged with your services and I have not activated my phone service. I have talked to several customer service reps .... I have requested to be refunded my money back into my account and I also request the account be cancelled ...... I don't feel that this program is a service because it is using my internet service. I am complaining that I have not gotten any satisfaction on your part........ don't want the service, and haven't used it.......
