Vonage in Columbia, Missouri - Awful service and even worse customer service!

Vonage service is awful! Their customer service is even worse! Stay away from Vonage. They will suck you into some sort of contract and charge you more than you expect to be charged. Customer service sucks!! It should not take 45 minutes to cancel an account and disconnect service that should have been cancelled a month prior in the first place. Not to mention, a charge of almost three times the month prior that they refused to credit even though the problem was on their end. I don't understand how a company can get away with overcharging so many people. I have read so many other reviews with people having problems cancelling their service also.

They called me to lower my bill and upgrade my unit. They would lower it to $15 month but i would have to pay them $120. I said I'm good with the service i have and then he said ok sir go to ***. He had no reason to do that and it really shows what type of company Vonage is. They need to hire better people or get a grip on the India call centers. Plus having to repeat every word also make it a frustrating experience. 18662434357 was the number they used just for reference for other. If you want *** service and a home phone in 2016 go for Vonage. I personally like WhatsApp better.

I had a problem with the Vonage Extension issues and called Vonage and a guy from India named Jay was extremely rude to a customer and hardly knew very much about resolving my issue. So I asked if I could maybe speak to a supervisor and he JUST HUNG UP. I was so disappointed. I have been with Vonage for many years and the CUSTOMER SERVICE has deteriorated very badly. I am now talking with LINGO and will soon switch. I wonder if these reviews are being monitor by the TOP_GUNS at VONAGE ESPECIALLY THEIR CEO Mr Alan Masarek.

Details
Long time vonage customer who pays annually every February ($404). I cancelled my account in June of this year because it keeps getting more expensive for service i dont use. I asked about the prorated refund of the prepaid fees (July thru next February) and was told i wont get any refund because it is past the 45 day limit from when I paid in February. That aint right... rip-off.

Today I received an email from Ms. Keely of the Vonage Executive Response Team who agreed to refund me for the 8 unused months of service.

I believe that this action is a fair and equitable conclusion to my issue with them. I only wish that it didn't have to escalate to this level to resolve an issue of fairness.

Residential customer -Need Technical Assistance-SOS Since past one month I am facing a major technical malfunction on my cell phone number each time I dial my sisters phone in India with a proper code +91-11-XXXXXXX it is being redirected by itself to a number in North Caroline who most probably has same digits. As I did not authorize this linked redirection I would appreciate if this number which has been liked to my number erroneously is stopped with immediate effect. This does not appear to be a one time mistake but is recurring each time I dial her number and my phone number is getting connected to a lady in North Carolina who is not happy to receive calls from a total stranger. Since my sister lives all by herself in an unsafe environment where there is threat to her life, I call two to three times everyday . Kindly resolve this technical error ASAP. Looking forward to hearing from you.
